About Alice San Martino, Speech Language Pathologist

My Journey

Alice San Martino, M.S., CCC-SLP received her Master's Degree from Boston University in 1985 and has clinical experience in the Boston, LA and Seattle areas working at acute and rehabilitative hospitals, home health agencies, outpatient clinics and private practice. She enjoyed a 6 year hiatus to be at home with her 6 children. She has worked in the private practice setting since 1999 working with children ages 2-18 with motor speech disorders, articulation and phonology, expressive/receptive language delays, social pragmatic language, ASD and literacy. She is PROMPT Level 1 trained and Hanen certified. She values family collaboration and uses a play based therapy approach to bring fun and engagement into every therapy session.

My Approach

My holistic approach is rooted in personalized care, compassionate support, and employing evidence-based techniques to help my clients achieve their communication goals.  I believe that effective therapy goes beyond treating symptoms—it involves understanding the child's life context, empowering them with skills for everyday interactions, and supporting their journey towards clearer and more confident communication. I value family collaboration and use a play based therapy approach to bring fun and engagement into every therapy session. I believe in educating clients and their families as I work with them to achieve the best possible outcome.

With over three decades of experience as a licensed speech language pathologist and national certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of care in our field. 

Outside of my work you might find me swimming, biking, hiking, reading an engrossing book or hanging out with my 6 adult kids, in-laws and my supportive husband.
